Venice Beach Couple Photos

When I tell you I was excited to do a session at the beach… I mean I was excited! 😍 I know I’ve definitely mentioned this, but I’m from Indiana, landlocked, cornfield ridden Indiana. Doing sessions on the beach has always been a dream of mine and this gorgeous family made that dream a reality!

We originally planned for this session to be a couple session. When Felisha and Jasmine arrived with their gorgeous daughter in tow, I couldn’t not squeeze her into a couple photos! We turned our beach couple session into a mini beach family session as well and I couldn’t love it more.

We met at Venice beach at golden hour and that sunset glow delivered. Running around the beach with these beautiful people was honestly out of a movie. I actually had to stop and take it in. I live here. This is my job. I couldn’t be more grateful to be in this place not only physically but mentally as well.

One thing I love about beach portrait sessions is the possibility of variety! I like to try to shoot for places with piers or rocks so we can get some cool photos with them in the background. Once we finish with those pictures, we can move into the background and mix it up.

This session was such a perfect opportunity for that. As we moved towards the pier, the sun fell just below it and we caught the last bits of that golden hour sunflare. As if this family wasn’t gorgeous enough, the golden glow added just the perfect touch to finish off the day.
