Mother and son portraits at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

So the first thing this session really helped me realize is that Griffith Park is huge. It’s also gorgeous, but it’s like, really big. I love being so close to a park with playgrounds, pony rides, carousels, and hiking trails. Seriously, LA is amazing when it comes to things to do and places to explore.

I was so excited that Makayla agreed to do this mommy & me session with me. I’ve been really trying to work with more families and couples lately. It really helps to have a gorgeous friend with such a photogenic baby boy to help me create some content to help spread the word!

We crossed off another bucket list photoshoot for me! Hiking around Griffith Park was gorgeous and we opted for the canyon/ hill look for this session rather than the green park option. I love the way the canyons pop the blues in the sky and the colors of the outfits in photos! Makayla borrowed this gorgeous yellow dress from my client closet that flowed perfectly with the dark blue and olive outfit she had Noah in. I love when the outfits in my session coordinate rather than match and this is a perfect example!

Capturing the love between partners, parents, and families and allowing you to see it the way you feel it is my favorite. I love to get the posed shots as well but I prefer that you leave my sessions feeling like you just spent a fun day together!

Having you interact and play, and just be together in the moments is what I love to capture. It’s not forever that you’ll be able to toss your baby in the air or hold them at your hip. It’s the in between details that not only make a great photo for me, but they’re really what I believe make up life.

My sessions are meant to allow you to take a step back and appreciate the love and time you have in this moment. Then, after that moment is over I get to deliver that back to you to relive forever. It’s really something special to me. ❤️
